I used to get sleep paralysis a lot. It's stress related, and I got it while living abroad all the time. It was horrifying. It's why I don't even attempt lucid dreaming because I know that I'll only end up experiencing another terror. Things like looking in the mirror and my facile just sliding off, or being unable to move while I hallucinate around me. That's the worst, when you're mentally awake but physically asleep. It's not meant to happen, and it's awful. |

It sounds like something I would want to experience just for the sake of experiencing it, though.

Just as much as I'd want to experience heartbreak for the sake of experiencing it. I guess that's how writer's minds work or something. |

First time's always a bit scary if you have no idea what the f*** it is lol. I thought I was dead the first time I experienced sleep paralysis and could imagine being in a coffin with people I know standing around me, although I guess it didn't help that I was also intoxicated at the time. |

It occurs most often when a person is stressed or inebriated. I think the part that bothers me the most about it is that you're aware, but you can't move no matter what you try. It's some nightmare stuff. I rarely get scared, but that does it for me. Immobilization is probably my worst fear. |

I have not remembered a time where I woke up with a dream in at least a year. Any idea why this could be happening? I know of times where I would wake up, acknowledge "yes I had a dream, but I can't remember anything" but now I wake up and am like "did not have a dream at all" weird, huh? |

I've had nights where I blink and then I wake up and it's sunny out. But that's about it. |
